THE CITY OF <br />- -• -• ~"' CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br />PL~~1S~4NTON- <br />December 16, 2008 <br />Assistant City Manager <br />TITLE: APPROVAL OF A RESOLUTION APPROVING A SECOND EXTENSION <br />TO LEASE AGREEMENT WITH CINGULAR WIRELESS FOR SPACE ON A <br />TELECOMMUNICATIONS TOWER LOCATED AT 3801 DOOLAN ROAD, <br />LIVERMORE <br />SUMMARY <br />In 1995, the Cities of Livermore and Pleasanton entered into an agreement with <br />Cingular Wireless (Cingular) for use of a communications tower owned jointly by the <br />Cites of Pleasanton and Livermore at 3801 Donlan Road in Livermore. The agreement <br />has expired and Cingular has requested approval of an option to extend the agreement <br />through December 2010. The cities share equally in annual lease payments of <br />$16,860. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Approve the attached resolution (Attachment 1) authorizing the second extension of the <br />lease agreement with Cingular Wireless for the continued placement of <br />telecommunications equipment located at 3801 Donlan Road, Livermore. <br />3 <br />FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br />The City will receive $8,430 annually from lease payments. These payments will be <br />placed in the City General Fund. <br />
