L£;AS~4NTON. <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />MINUTES <br />City Council Chamber <br />200 Old Bernal Avenue, Pleasanton, CA 94566 <br />APPROVED <br />Special Meeting <br />Wednesday, October 22, 2008 <br />(Staff has reviewed the proposed changes against the recorded proceedings <br />and confirms that these Minutes are accurate.) <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />The Planning Commission Special Meeting of October 22, 2008, was called to order <br />at 7:00 p.m. by Chair Blank. <br />1. ROLL CALL <br />Staff Members Present: Brian Dolan, Director of Planning and Community <br />Development; Steven Bocian, Assistant City Manager; <br />Michael Roush, City Attorney; Mike Tassano, City Traffic <br />Engineer; Robin Giffin, Associate Planner; and Maria L. <br />Hoey, Recording Secretary <br />Commissioners Present: Commissioners Phil Blank, Kathy Narum, Greg <br />O'Connor, Arne Olson, and Jennifer Pearce <br />Commissioners Absent: Commissioner Anne Fox <br />2. PUBLIC COMMENTS <br />Chair Blank advised that because this is a special meeting, the public can comment <br />only on items on the Agenda and that City Attorney Roush will provide further <br />explanation. <br />City Attorney Roush stated that the Brown Act provides members of the public an <br />opportunity to speak on items that are not on the agenda but are within the subject <br />matter jurisdiction of the legislative body conducting the meeting.
