Commissioner O'Connor supported the payment ofLower-Income Housing Fees to meet <br />the affordable-housing requirement versus trying to build affordable housing on the site. <br />Acting Chair Pearce did not believe this was an appropriate site for affordable housing, <br />particularly because of the lack of services. <br />Noise <br />Should the project be designed to avoid the use o~y soundwalls? <br />Commissioner Narum agreed that soundwalls should not be included. <br />Commissioner Olson strongly believed that soundwalls should not be included. <br />Commissioner O'Connor believed that soundwalls should be banned and did not support <br />them for this project. <br />Acting Chair Pearce did not want any soundwalls to be included. <br />Visual Analysis <br />Does the Commission wish to see anv other viewpoint locations? <br />Commissioner Narum would like to see a streetscape with the 40-percent FAR on the <br />homes. <br />Commissioner Olson agreed with Commissioner Narum's comments. <br />Commissioner O'Connor would like to see the viewpoint of the development grading <br />from the other side of Dublin Canyon Road. He did not believe it would be an issue. He <br />believed the biggest viewpoint would be from The Preserve and would like to see that <br />viewpoint after the grading was done. <br />Acting Chair Pearce agreed with Commissioner O'Connor's comments and believed that <br />more viewpoints would be better. <br />No action was taken. <br />7.
