RESOLUTION NO. 08- <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />APPROVING CALENDAR YEAR 2009 COUNCILMEMBERS APPOINTMENTS TO <br />VARIOUS COMMISSIONS, COMMITTEES AND BOARDS, AND APPOINTMENT OF <br />THE VICE MAYOR <br />WHEREAS, at the end of each year, Council reviews and revises as necessary the <br />Council assignments, made by the Mayor, to regional and local boards, commissions and <br />committees; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council annually appoints a Vice Mayor from among its members. <br />WHEREAS, at its meeting of December 2, 2008, the City Council considered the report <br />concerning the Mayor's appointments for calendar year 2009. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. Approves the Mayor's appointments of Councilmembers to the various <br />boards, commissions and committees as set forth on Exhibit A, attached hereto and <br />incorporated herein by this reference. <br />Section 2. Appoints Cheryl Cook-Kallio to serve for a period of one year, until <br />December 2009, as Vice Mayor of the City of Pleasanton and presiding member of the City <br />Council in the absence of the Mayor. <br />Section 3. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and <br />adoption. <br />PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Pleasanton at <br />a regular meeting held on the 2nd day of December, 2008. <br />I, Karen Diaz, City Clerk of the City of Pleasanton, California, certify that the foregoing <br />resolution was adopted by the City Council at a regular meeting held on the 2nd day of <br />December 2008, by the following vote: <br />Ayes: <br />Noes: <br />Absent: <br />Abstain: <br />Karen Diaz, City Clerk <br />APPROVED AS TO FORM: <br />Michael H.
