15 <br />THE CITY OF <br />~ ~ .~~ w <br />j~L£~S~4NTONo <br />CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br />December 2, 2008 <br />Mayor and City Council <br />TITLE: COMMISSION AND COMMITTEE ASSIGNMENTS AND APPOINTMENT <br />OF VICE MAYOR FOR CALENDAR YEAR 2009 <br />SUMMARY <br />Each year, the Mayor reviews and revises, as necessary, Council assignments to <br />regional authorities, boards, commissions, committees, joint powers authorities and <br />internal Council committees. The Council is asked to ratify the Mayor's appointments <br />for the year 2009. <br />At the same meeting, the Council traditionally selects one of its members to serve as <br />the Vice Mayor for the coming year. <br />RECOMMENDATIONS <br />1. Council review, and by resolution approve, the Mayor's appointments to Council <br />committees, regional and local authorities, boards, commissions and committees. <br />2. Council adopt a resolution selecting one of its members to serve as Vice Mayor <br />for 2009. <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />There is no fiscal impact. <br />
