He asked if the trees and
hedges could have been pruned instead of removed.
Mr. Jeffrey replied that it would have been too dangerous and difficult to prune the trees
and hedges.
Mr. Johnston asked if a wooden fence was to be installed on top of the wall.
Ms. Decker replied that was just an idea being considered, but that was all.
Mr. Johnston asked about mild grading.
Ms. Decker explained the different types of grading.
Mr. Johnston asked about the types of trees to be planted.
Ms. Johnston stated the original trees were planted in a staggered form and grew into a
hedge style.
Ms. Johnston asked how high the wall was.
Mr. Jeffrey replied that the wall was four feet high.
Ms. Johnston stated that she was more concerned about her privacy when hearing Mr.
Jeffrey talk about maximizing his yazd. They do not want to
wait five to seven yeazs for the trees to grow.
Mr. Jeffrey stated that this is his yazd to do as he would like and that there is a fifteen foot
easement at the back of his property that he cannot touch.
Mr. Johnston stated that the property owner bought the property with conditions on that
lot, whether he knew it or not, and the conditions stipulated what could be done or not
done on that lot. Any alternations or changes to that lot should be up for discussion.
Ms. Johnston stated that they aze trying to compromise, but they feel the wall, permit and
grading has not been approved and that the permit was issued in error.
