D. RECREATIONAL FACILITIES <br /> <br /> The present basic rental fee is for six hours of use, except Century House which is 4 <br /> hours, including set-up and clean-up. Use may be extended by paying an hourly fee. <br /> An additional fee is required for use of the kitchen of the Veterans Building. The <br /> kitchens of the Recreation Building and Century House are available for catered <br /> affairs only at no additional charge. <br /> <br /> Any group applying for use of any City recreation or park facilities is required to <br /> name the City of Pleasanton as "Additional Insured." This coverage is for <br /> Comprehensive General Liability and Property Damage, includin9 Automobile at limits <br /> determined by City Staff. If a requesting group does not have such insurance, <br /> securing this coverage is required. Special Event Insurance is available from the <br /> Department of Parks and Community Services for one day activities or short term <br /> activities when insurance is not being provided by the user. <br /> <br /> Priority Classification of Groups and Rental Rates <br /> <br />A. Sponsored Groups <br /> <br /> 1. Co-sponsored reserved for community groups whose program serves a <br /> significant number of people, providing a wholesome and desirable <br /> recreational activity and is considered of service to the community. <br /> <br /> 2. Sanctioned Programs Meets all above requirements but is limited in degree <br /> in terms of numbers served. <br /> <br /> 3. Approved - Worthwhile community activities or projects which are beneficial <br /> to the community but have main values other than recreation or is of a <br /> limited recreation value. <br /> <br />B. Classified Groups <br /> <br /> 1. Permitted - Local organizations using facilities for their own members. <br /> Examples of these types of groups would be service clubs, homeowner <br /> organizations, educational or non-profit social service groups. <br /> <br /> 2. Private and Commercial Use - Required to pay current fee and rental charges <br /> as established by the Park and Recreation Commission and City Council on a <br /> periodic basis. Resident applications to be given priority over <br /> non-residents applicants. <br /> <br />C. Non-Residents <br /> <br /> 1. Applicants residing outside city limits of Pleasanton. Organizations whose <br /> memberships is less than 75% Pleasanton residents. <br /> <br /> <br />
