III. RECREATION - Current Fees and Charges - Program/Facilities

A. FEE CLASS The cost of fee classes is set to attempt to return the full cost of
the instructor (s) and materials plus an additional 30% for program supervision
and office support.

Fee class instructors are paid either hourly or on a contractual basis as determined
by department staff and instructor. Entering into a contract for program service often
allows the flexibility needed to provide a program. A copy of the contract is
attached for information and approval. (Attachment A) The Recreation Supervisor in
charge of the fee class negotiates the contract.

Definition:

a. Unit of Measure: The unit/hour cost is computed by determining the total
number of class hours and dividing the total cost of the class per individual
by this number.

b. Non-resident: A non-resident is any client not residing within the City
limits of Pleasanton.

c. Late Fee: Late registration, those registering after five working days prior
to the first day of class, pay an additional fee.

d. Special Direct Costs: Some classes have a direct cost associated with the
class because of specific materials required, insurance, or certification
fee. These direct costs are not included in the hourly fee and, when
assessed to the client, are clearly noted.

Fee Unit

1. Late Registration $ 2.00 Per Class
2.
