CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 85-529 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION SELECTING ALTERNATIVE A FOR DEL VALLE PARKWAY <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council and staff have had numerous meetings <br /> with the citizens regarding the alternatives for <br /> construction of Del Valle Parkway; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, at its meeting of November 5, 1985, Council received <br /> staff report 85:534 which set forth the staff <br /> recommendations; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> Section 1: The City Council approves in concept Alternative "A", <br /> attached hereto, which is similar in alignment to the <br /> existing plan line that was developed in 1967. This <br /> alignment follows the alignment of the Arroyo del Valle <br /> with long sweeping curves, tying back to existing <br /> Stanley Boulevard approximately half way between Main <br /> Street and First Street, with Stanley Boulevard not <br /> being a cul-de-sac, but with right turn in and right <br /> turn out only at Main Street, and with a 66 ft. <br /> right-of-way along the present Stanley Boulevard <br /> portion. Additional actions such as inclusion of the <br /> project in the capital improvement budget, environmental <br /> review and final design shall be brought back for <br /> Council consideration at a later date. <br /> <br /> Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED NOVEMBER 5, 1985 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br /> AYES: Councilmembers - Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Wood and Mayor <br /> Mercer <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> ER, MAYOR <br />~y Doril George~ Deputy City Clerk <br />APPROVED AS TO FORM: <br /> <br /> Peter D.'
