CIVIC CENTER MASTER PLAN <br /> <br />Site: 4.1 acres bounded by Bernal Avenue, Harrisson, the City Hall and <br /> the Police Building, City of Pleasanton, California. <br /> <br />SCOPE OF WORK <br /> <br />The preparation of a master plan for the 4.1 acre site will include but <br />not be limited to the following components: <br /> <br />i Library Building Footprint <br />2 New City Office Footprint <br />3 Other Ancillary Civic Uses <br />4 Eandscape Architecture <br />5 Urban Design Analysis <br />6 Parking and Circulation <br /> <br /> LIBRARY <br /> <br /> The Library Footprint for the public library will be developed as <br /> part of the architectural contract for the library and will be <br /> integrated into the Civic Center Master Plan. <br /> <br /> NEW CITY OFFICES <br /> <br /> To develop a building footprint for the new city office building, it <br /> will be necessary to carry out the foil.owing: <br /> <br /> a. City offices space requirements up to 2005. <br /> b. Prepare floor plans and elevations of building to house city offices <br /> up to 2005. <br /> c. Prepare building footprint and integrate into civic center study. <br /> <br /> OTHER ANCILLARY CIVIC USES <br /> <br /> Other uses will be evaluated in regard to their compatibility and <br /> space requirements. <br /> <br /> LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTURE <br /> <br /> The landscape architecture wil.1 be the major element to create a desirable <br /> environment and to bring together all of the surrounding uses. <br /> <br /> URBAN DESIGN ELEMENT <br /> <br /> It will be necessary with the variety of architectural character in the <br /> three major public uses to analyse the relationships of the three uses= <br /> to the new proposed uses both from a functional and urban design basis. <br /> <br /> <br />
