Non-resident Fees The priority system adopted continues to favor Pleasanton residents wishing to participate in the Adult Softball program. City policy allows the opportunity for a certain number of non-residents to participate. These non-residents have been assessed a $10.00 non-resident fee in addition to the basic team fee. Staff recommends that this policy be continued at the same rate. Men's Lob Ball Since the Lob Ball Board administers the league themselves, they have paid the City a flat rate for the use of the Upper Field. This h~s' worked out well and should be continued. The flat rate is based on $5 per game for lighted field, and $5 per game user fee - practice and league play. Field Rental Rates/Tournaments The rental rate schedule recommended is the same schedule as adopted in February of 1984. Staff's biggest obstacle has been determining which priority classification each applicant best fits into. Staff has found that the most equitable method has been to review each applicant individually and to rate them based on the purpose of the event, who the event is being offered to, number of Pleasanton residents participating, and what proceeds (if any) will be used for. Rates are as follows: City Programs $15. per hour per field (max. daily charge $75) Sponsored activities $15. per hour per field (max. daily charge $75) Classified $25. per hour per field (max. daily charge $125) Non-resident $40. per hour per field (No maximum charge) Any additional services needed (i.e. extra field preparation, lights scorekeepers) would be added to the above fees. Field Rental Rates for Leaque Practice Fields Teams participating in the City"s Adult Softball Program may rent fields for practice at the following rates: Without Lights: $ 7.00 per hour per field With Lights: $10.00 per hour per field Prices above also include staff and use of bases as well as a reserved field.
