I~:.--~ our understanding that the City of Pleasanton desires a feasibility study to be performed relative to handling East Amador sewage flows. The terminus of the new East Amador trunk sewer is 26-feet below grade. Consequently, sewage could not flow by gravity to the existing wet well and be lifted by the existing pumps. We also considered lifting the sewage from the new trunk sewer to the existing East Amador Pumping Station wet well, but the cost for the alternative would be about the same as alternative 2 with no operational advantage. Two alternatives for pumping sewage from the new trunk sewer appear to be applicable at this time. Because the cost of deepening the existing wet well and d~y well would be prohibitive, we dismissed this alternative. The applicable alternatives are as follows: Alternative 1 Provide a single pumping station to handle 'the combined flows from the existing East Amador Pumping Station and from Pleasanton's new East Arnador trunk sewer, which terminates at the southeast corner of the Stoneridge Drive and Johnson Drive intersection.
