CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 85-507 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING TWO ADDITIONAL PUBLIC WORKS <br /> INSPECTOR POSITIONS AND AMENDING BUDGET TO COVER COST <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, due to increased construction activity in Pleasanton, it <br /> has been necessary to hire numerous contract public <br /> works inspectors; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is more efficient to have full-time staff inspectors <br /> than to rely on contract inspectors; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, at its meeting of November 5, 1985, Council reviewed the <br /> report (SR 85:523) of the Acting Public Works Director <br /> regarding the costs of the additional positions; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> Section 1: Authorizes the addition of two (2) Public Works <br /> Inspector positions, as of November 5, 1985. <br /> <br />Section 2: Amends the budget to cover the additional cost by <br /> adding $18,000 to the Public Works Inspection Division <br /> Operating Budget for 1985-86. <br /> <br />Section 3: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED NOVEMBER 5, 1985 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Wood and Mayor <br /> Mercer <br />NOES: None <br /> <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br /> CER, Y <br /> <br />By Doris George, Deputy City Clerk <br /> <br />APPROVED AS TO FORM: <br /> <br />Peter D.
