CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 85-503 <br /> <br /> APPROVAL OF 1986 GROWTH MANAGEMENT PROGRAM ALLOCATIONS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Growth Management Program requires the yearly <br /> setting of a target number for residential dwelling <br /> units to be constructed, the number set aside for lower <br /> income units, those units available to smaller projects, <br /> as well as establishing the guidelines for the yearly <br /> selection of smaller projects; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has received a staff report (SR 85:518) <br /> containing recommendations for the Growth Management <br /> Program parameters requiring yearly determination by the <br /> City Council; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to the Growth Management Program Ordinance, a <br /> public hearing was held at which time public testimony <br /> was heard considering these matters; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has considered the General Plan growth <br /> rate policy, the number of units approved in long-term <br /> agreements, previously authorized but undeveloped units, <br /> prior years' authorized units, and the comments received <br /> at the public hearing; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council finds its determinations listed below <br /> meet the General Plan goals and policies; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: That 573 units be the target allocation for 1986. <br /> <br />Section 2: That 73 units be set aside for low-income housing, <br /> bringing the total cumulative lower-income set-aside to <br /> 100 units. <br /> <br />Section 3: That, as 500 units have already been allocated to <br /> 1986 in long-term agreements, there are no units <br /> available for smaller projects or additional long-term <br /> agreements for 1986; thus, guidelines for selection of <br /> smaller projects need not be adopted. <br /> <br />Section 4: Further consideration of the Growth Management <br /> Program allocations shall be deferred until more results <br /> from the General Plan review are available. <br /> <br />Section 5: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
