CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 85-500 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION ADOPTING DOWNTOWN PLEASANTON DESIGN <br /> GUIDELINES FOR THE CENTRAL BUSINESS DISTRICT OVERLAY <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at its meeting of October 15, 1985, the City Council <br /> introduced Ordinance No. 1225 establishing design review <br /> procedures and design standards for the Central Business <br /> district; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in connection with the above ordinance it is necessary <br /> to adopt design guidelines; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Chapter 3 et seq. of the Downtown Pleasanton <br /> Revitalization brochure contains the recommended <br /> guidelines and the Council wishes to add a section; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The City Council of the City of Pleasanton hereby <br /> adopts the "Downtown Pleasanton Design Guidelines" <br /> contained in the Downtown Pleasanton Revitalization <br /> brochure, a copy of which is attached hereto, and under <br /> "New Construction, Building Form and Massing" adds the <br /> underlined sentence to the existent heading: <br /> <br /> " - BUILDINGS SHOULD BE TWO STORIES IN HEIGHT WITH <br /> GROUND FLOOR RETAIL USE. No structures should <br /> exceed twenty-five (25) feet in height, unless the <br /> proposed project is consistent with the Guidelines <br /> and enhances the built context of the site and <br /> surroundings." <br /> <br />Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
