Grantee shall reasonably <br />provide a sufficient number of earth stations to receive signals <br />from all operational communications satellites that generally carry <br />programs carried by cable systems, throughout the life of the <br />franchise. <br /> <br /> 5.3 Capacity for Interactive Residential Services. Grantee <br />shall provide initially the' capability and provision of interactive <br />residential services shall be provided according to the provisions <br />of Exhibit B. All customer equipment necessary for such services, <br />such as addressable interactive converters, home terminals and home <br />detectors, shall be provided to subscribers by Grantee in <br />accordance with established and uniform rate schedules, when <br />interactive services are offered. <br /> <br /> 5.4 Capacity for.Institutional Services. Grantee shall <br />provide the capacity for bidirectional video, voice and data <br />communications among designated businesses and/or public <br />institutions in the franchise area. This capacity shall be <br />activated in accordance with the provisions of Exhibit C. <br /> <br /> 5.5 Cablecas~ing Facilities. <br /> (a) Grantee shall provide a capital grant of Fifty-five <br />Thousand Dollars ($55,000) for local cablecasting facilities to be <br />used for PEG access. <br /> <br /> The grant may be utilized either by the Grantor independently <br />or in conjunction with other jurisdictions served by the same cable <br />system to establish PEG cablecasting studios and related facilities <br />in the form and configuration that the franchising jurisdictions <br />determine to be in the best common interest of the subscribers. <br /> <br /> The grant shall not be chargeable to franchise fees, in <br />accordance with the provisions of the Cable Communications Policy <br />Act of 1984. <br /> <br /> <br />
