CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 85-478 <br /> <br /> REVIEW OF BIDS AND AWARD OF CONTRACT TO CUNNINGHAM & <br /> SONS, INC., FOR CONSTRUCTION OF THE DORMAN ROAD HANDICAP <br /> RAMPS, PROJECT NO. 85-16 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City prepared plans and specifications for <br /> installation of handicap ramps on Dorman Road, Project <br /> No. 85-16; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Government Code Section 37900, et seq., the <br /> City Engineering Services Division advertised for bids <br /> regarding this project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, bids were reviewed by the City Council on October 15, <br /> 1985; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the bid of Cunningham & Sons, Inc., in the amount of <br /> $10,650 was determined to be the lowest responsible bid; <br /> and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works and Utilities recommended <br /> that the bid of Cunningham & Sons, Inc. be accepted; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The bid of Cunningham & Sons, Inc., in the amount of <br /> $10,650, for installation of handicap ramps on Dorman <br /> Road, Project No. 85-16, is hereby accepted by the City <br /> Council as the lowest responsible bid. <br /> <br />Section 2: The Mayor is authorized to execute a contract with <br /> for the improvements specified above. <br /> <br />Section 3: Authorizes appropriation of an additional $3,100 to <br /> the Dorman Road Handicap Ramp Project. <br /> <br />Section 4: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
