CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 85-476 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION DECLARING PROPERTY AT NORTHWEST CORNER OF <br /> PETERS AVENUE AND DIVISION STREET AS SURPLUS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City owns a small parcel of land (approximately <br /> 1,753 square feet) located on the northwest corner of <br /> Peters Avenue and Division Street, which is a remnant of <br /> a parcel acquired for the extension of Peters Avenue; <br /> and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, after discussion with City staff and adjacent property <br /> owners, it has been determined that the property can be <br /> offered for sale; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Declares the parcel of land (approximately 1,753 <br /> square feet) located on the northwest corner of Peters <br /> Avenue and Division Street as surplus. <br /> <br />Section 2: The City determines that the market value for the <br /> property is $16,443.14. <br /> <br />Section 3: City shall notify all agencies required by law to be <br /> given first opportunity to purchase surplus property. <br /> <br />Section 4: City Finds that the most appropriate development <br /> pattern for the area is for use as plottage to the <br /> adjacent parcel to the west (Spiliotopoulos), provided <br /> that the owner of the adjacent parcel is willing to pay <br /> the fair market value. <br /> <br />Section 5: If no agency wishes to purchase the property, the <br /> City Manager is authorized to negotiate with the <br /> adjacent property owner for purchase of the property. <br /> <br />Section 6: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
