CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 85-451 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING PROGRAM TO FINANCE PLEASANTON'S <br /> SHARE OF THE LAVWMA AND DSRSD EXPANSION PROJECTS BY SALE <br /> OF 300,00 GPD OF SEWAGE CAPACITY <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on June 5, 1984, the voters of the valley approved the <br /> expansion of the LAVWMA facility to a maximum of 21 MGD <br /> of wastewater export capacity; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton will be responsible for <br /> approximately $7.32 million to cover its share of the <br /> 4.38 MGD LAVWMA expansion project and the necessary <br /> expansion of the DSRSD plant; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, one method of raising the cash would be to sell sewer <br /> connections in advance and collect the sewer connection <br /> fee prior to beginning construction on the expansion <br /> project; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Approves the proposed program outlined in the staff <br /> report of the City Manager (SR 85:439) to proceed with <br /> the advance sale of 300,000 GPD of sewage capacity <br /> subject to the following condition: <br /> <br /> Any capacity purchased in advance could not be connected <br /> to the system until the expansion projects were <br /> completed and operating or until assurances that all <br /> cash flow requirements had been met. <br /> <br />Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
