CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 85-440 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 76-79 (ESTAB- <br /> LISHING TRAFFIC REGULATIONS FOR CITY STREETS) BY <br /> AMENDING SECTION 3 (STOP INTERSECTIONS) <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on April 12, 1976, the City Council adopted Resolution <br /> No. 76-79 (A Resolution Establishing Traffic Regulations <br /> for City Streets); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has from time to time amended <br /> Resolution No. 76-79; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at its meeting of September 17, 1985, the City Council <br /> received and discussed reports (SR 85:448, 449 and 450) <br /> from the Director of Public Works and Utilities related <br /> to the installation of stop signs at various locations; <br /> and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it was determined to be necessary to amend Resolution <br /> No. 76-79 to amend Section 3 (Stop Intersections); <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Resolution No. 76-79 (A Resolution Establishing <br /> Traffic Regulations for City Streets) is hereby amended <br /> by adding the following subsections to Section 3 (Stop <br /> Intersections): <br /> <br /> 3c-6 Carlsbad Court, at Valley Trails (N); stopping <br /> northbound traffic on Carlsbad Court. <br /> <br /> 3c-7 Carlsbad Way, at Valley Trails (N); stopping <br /> southbound traffic on Carlsbad Way. <br /> <br /> 3h-5 Hansen Drive, at Calle Reynoso; stopping traffic on <br /> Hansen Drive in both directions. <br /> <br /> 3n-5 Nevis Street, at Wells Street; stopping traffic on <br /> Nevis Street in both directions. <br /> <br /> 3w-2 Wells Street, at Nevis Street; stopping northbound <br /> traffic on Wells Street. <br /> <br />Section 2: Staff is directed to have the crosswalk on Nevis <br /> Street relocated to the intersection of Nevis Street and <br /> Wells Street, and have a barrier installed along the <br /> back of the curb in front of the existing pedestrian <br /> walkway between the houses to encourage the children to <br /> cross at the new crosswalk location. <br /> <br /> <br />
