CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 85-427 <br /> <br /> MEMORIAL TO WILBUR "GENE" ANGLE <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Gene Angle was appointed to the position of Maintenance <br /> Man I-Public Works Department-Sewage Treatment Division <br /> on January 12, 1970; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, he most capably worked his way through the ranks to the <br /> position of Public Works Inspector on July 6, 1982; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, he was an extremely active and forceful drive behind the <br /> City's Safety Committee, serving as its Chairman from <br /> July, 1981 through June, 1982; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, theI residents of our community have been shocked and <br /> saddened by the death of Gene Angle, an honored and <br /> respected employee, who displayed such a high degree of <br /> pride in his work and who cared very deeply about our <br /> City; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The City Council of the City of Pleasanton, while <br /> mourning the loss of this most valued employee and <br /> respected man, extends to his family its sincere <br /> sympathy during this time of bereavement; and it is <br /> further resolved that this memorial be made a part of <br /> the Official Records of the City, and that an official <br /> copy of this expression of sympathy be delivered to the <br /> family of the deceased. <br /> <br />SeCtion 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED SEPTEMBER 3, 1985 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Wood and Mayor <br /> Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None NETH R~ <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> // <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> MERCER, <br /> <br />APPROVED AS TO FORM: <br /> <br />Peter D.
