AGREEMENT WITH THE COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br /> FOR TRANSPORTATION OF PRISONERS VIA THE <br /> STATEWIDE PRISONER TRANSPORTATION SYSTEM <br /> <br /> THIS AGREEmeNT IS maae this day of , 19__, by <br /> and between the County of Alameda ("County") and the City <br /> of ("City"). <br /> <br /> The County of Alameda, a political subdivision o~ the State of California <br /> ("County") and the City of , a municipal corporation <br /> ("City") do hereby enter into this Agreement, with reference to the following <br /> recitals: <br /> <br />1. The Sheriff's Department o£ the County of Los Angeles operates a Statewide <br /> Prisoner Transportation System with scheduled weekly trips throughout the <br /> State of California. <br /> <br />2. The County has a contract with the County o~ Los Angeles Sheriff's <br /> Department for the performance of transportation services of their wanted <br /> persons held by other law enforcement agencies witnan the State of <br /> California. Said contract, marked Exhibit A, is attached hereto and <br /> incorporate~ herein by this re~erence. <br /> <br />3. The City desires to use the Statewide Prisoner Transportation System for <br /> purposes and accoraing to the conditions ana restrictions described in <br /> Exhibit A. <br /> <br />4. The County is willing and able to perform the services necessary for the <br /> City to participate in the Statewide Prisoner Transportation System, in <br /> exchange for payment of a service charge as hereinaiter described. <br /> <br />ACCORDINGLY, THE PARTIES AGREE AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. The County, upon the request of the City, will arrange for transportation <br /> to the County, on a space available basis, through the use of the County <br /> of Los Angeles Sherif~'s Department Transportation System, persons <br /> arrested and held by other law enforcement agencies within the State, in <br /> accoraance with Exhibit A hereto. <br /> <br />2. When the City aesires transportation, it will phone the Sergeant of the <br /> Service Bureau or his designee at (415) 577-1051, between the hours of <br /> 0700 and 1500, Monday through Friday, requesting informally that a <br /> prisoner be transported to the County. <br /> <br />3. County's Sheriff's Department Service Bureau will determine from the Los <br /> Angeles Sheriff's Transportation Bureau if there is available space in the <br /> bus transport system. <br /> <br />4. County will in£orm City accordingly and, i~ City desires transportation, <br /> shall then notify the County in the form of a printed message via the <br /> Police Information Teletype System ("PIN") requesting transportation of <br /> specifically identified individual and will include the name of the <br /> <br /> <br />
