CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 85-418 <br /> <br /> REVIEW OF BIDS AND AWARD OF CONTRACT TO O'GRADY PAVING, <br /> INC., FOR RESURFACING OF VARIOUS CITY STREETS, PROJECT <br /> NO. 85-23 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City prepared plans and specifications for <br /> resurfacing of various city streets, Project No. 85-23; <br /> and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Government Code Section 37900, et seq., the <br /> City Engineering Services Division advertised for bids <br /> regarding this project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, bids were reviewed by the City Council on September 3, <br /> 1985; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the bid of O'Grady Paving, Inc., in the amount of <br /> $195,737.41 was determined to be the lowest responsible <br /> bid; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works and Utilities recommended <br /> that the bid of O'Grady Paving, Inc. be accepted; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The bid of O'Grady Paving, Inc., in the amount of <br /> $195,737.41, for resurfacing of various city streets, <br /> Project No. 85-23, is hereby accepted by the City <br /> Council as the lowest responsible bid. <br /> <br />Section 2: The Mayor is authorized to execute a contract with <br /> for the improvements specified above. <br /> <br />Section 3: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
