CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 85-415 <br /> <br /> REVIEW OF BIDS AND AWARD OF CONTRACT TO MCE CORPORATION, <br /> FOR CONSTRUCTION OF BIKE LANES ON VINEYARD AVENUE/FIRST <br /> STREET, PROJECT NO. 85-8 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City prepared plans and specifications for <br /> construction of bike lanes on Vineyard Avenue and First <br /> Street, Project No. 85-8; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Government Code Section 37900, et seq., the <br /> City Engineering Services Division advertised for bids <br /> regarding this project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, bids were reviewed by the City Council on September 3, <br /> 1985; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the bid of MCE Corporation, in the amount of $9,845.60 <br /> was determined to be the lowest responsible bid; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works and Utilities recommended <br /> that the bid of MCE Corporation be accepted; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The bid of MCE Corporation, in the amount of <br />$9,845.60, for construction of the bike lanes on <br /> Vineyard Avenue and First Street, Project No. 85-8, is <br /> hereby accepted by the City Council as the lowest <br /> responsible bid. <br /> <br />Section 2: The Mayor is authorized to execute a contract with <br /> for the improvements specified above. <br /> <br />Section 3: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
