CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 85-406 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION DENYING THE APPEAL OF ALLSTAR INNS OF A <br /> DECISION OF THE BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT DENYING A REQUEST <br /> FOR A VARIANCE TO ALLOW AN EXISTING SIGN WHICH EXCEEDS <br /> THE MAXIMUM ALLOWABLE HEIGHT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at its meeting of July 25, 1985, the Board of Adjustment <br /> denied the application of Allstar Inns for a variance to <br /> maintain an existing 25 foot pole identification sign <br /> which exceeds the maximum allowable height at 5102 <br /> Hopyard Road; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, within the time specified by the Ordinance Code of the <br /> City of Pleasanton, the applicant submitted an appeal to <br /> the City Clerk of the City of Pleasanton; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at its meeting of August 20, 1985, the City Council <br /> reviewed a report from the Director of Planing and <br /> Community Development together with copies of staff <br /> reports to the Board of Adjustment regarding this <br /> matter; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a duly noticed public hearing was held at which time <br /> application and any other member of the public was <br /> offered an opportunity to present evidence regarding <br /> this appeal; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, after reviewing all the material, Council is unable to <br /> make the findings which would allow the variance; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Denies the application of Allstar Inns for a variance <br /> to allow maintenance of an existing 25 foot pole <br /> identification sign located at 5102 Hopyard Road. <br /> <br />Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
