CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 85-405 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION DENYING THE APPEAL OF ALLSTAR INNS OF A <br /> DECISION OF THE DESIGN REVIEW BOARD DENYING A <br /> COMPREHENSIVE SIGN PROGRAM LOCATED AT 5102 HOPYARD ROAD <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, at its meeting of July 24, 1985, the Design Review Board <br /> denied the application of Allstar Inns for a <br /> comprehensive sign program for its motel located at 5102 <br /> Hopyard Road; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this matter was appealed to the City Council by Allstar <br /> Inns; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing on August 20, <br /> 1985 at which time the applicant and any other member of <br /> the public was offered an opportunity to present <br /> evidence regarding this appeal; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, after a review of the material presented, the City <br /> Council concurs with staff and finds that the sign is <br /> too large and architecturally out of scale with the <br /> building and parking lot in which it sits; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Denies the appeal of Allstar Inns for the proposed <br /> comprehensive sign program at 5102 Hopyard Road. <br /> <br />Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED AUGUST 20, 1985 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Mohr, Wood and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilmembers - Brandes and Butler <br />ABSTAIN: None ~~~ <br />ATTEST: <br /> ~N~ETH R.
