CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 85-388 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING QUITCLAIM OF CITY'S RIGHTS OF <br /> EXTRACTION OF WATER PURSUANT TO AGREEMENT WITH SPRING <br /> VALLEY WATER COMPANY <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the owners of Golden Eagle Farms, also known as Johnson <br /> Foundation Property, have requested the City of <br /> Pleasanton to quitclaim all rights arising from the <br /> agreement dated May 23, 1925 between H. A. Baldwin, et <br /> al. and Spring Valley Water Company related to the <br /> extraction of water; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at its meeting of August 20, 1985, the City Council <br /> reviewed this request and the staff recommendation for <br /> approval; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Authorizes the quitclaim of all rights, title and <br /> interests arising from the agreement between H. A. <br /> Baldwin, et al. and Spring Valley Water Company dated <br /> May 23, 1985. <br /> <br />Section 2: Authorizes the Mayor to execute a Quitclaim Deed from <br /> the City of Pleasanton to the Walter S. Johnson <br /> Foundation. <br /> <br />Section 3: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED AUGUST 20, 1985 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Mohr, Wood and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilmembers - Brandes and <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> NNETH R.
