writing to the Fire Chief prior to any framing construction. Work on the alternative <br />fire protection methods shall not begin until approved by the Fire Chief. <br />100. Any project developer, business owner, or tenant storing and/or using hazardous <br />materials within a building covered by this approval, shall post National Fire <br />Protection (NFP) 704 identification on the building and/or tenancy according to <br />the City's "Hazardous Materials Identification Sign" procedures. <br />101. Trash enclosures which are sized to contain dumpsters with an individual <br />capacity of 1.5 cubic yards located within five feet (5' 0") of unprotected building <br />openings, combustible walls, or combustible roof eaves shall be provided with an <br />automatic fire sprinkler system. <br />102. Unless otherwise approved by the Fire Chief, all new vehicular gates shall be <br />equipped with an automatic opening feature remotely operated through the Fire <br />Department's Opticom system. The final design of the gates, access opening, <br />and gate opening system shall be subject to review and approval by the Fire <br />Chief and Director of Planning and Community Development. <br />Enaineerina Requirements <br />103. Prior to occupancy of the project, the applicant shall design and install a new fl- <br />inch diameter sanitary sewer line in Stoneridge Mall Road from Canyon Way to a <br />point approximately 850-feet to the south, including the connection to the existing <br />8-inch sanitary sewer main. The final design of the on-site and off-site sewer <br />systems shall be shown on the plans submitted for issuance of building permit <br />and shall be subject to the approval of the City Engineer. The applicant may <br />enter into a reimbursement agreement with the City to recover some of the cost <br />of the eight-inch sanitary sewer main in Stoneridge Mall Road (listed above) from <br />other benefiting properties. <br />104. The building permit plans shall accurately show all existing public improvements <br />near the subject development (i.e., street lights, street signs, utility vaults and <br />boxes, etc.) and shall clearly indicate any proposed modifications to the existing <br />public improvements. Proposed modifications to the public improvements shall <br />be subject to review and approval by the City Engineer and Director of Planning <br />and Community Development prior to issuance of a building permit. <br />105. All existing wells on the site shall be removed or sealed, filled and abandoned <br />pursuant to Alameda County Ordinance 73-68, prior to the start of grading <br />operations unless Zone 7 retains specific wells for observation wells, or special <br />approval is obtained from the City Engineer for temporary use of an existing well <br />for construction water. Any wells designated for abandonment or any wells, <br />encountered during construction, are to be destroyed in accordance with a permit <br />obtained from Zone 7. <br />16 <br />
