PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. PC-2006-22 <br />RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING THAT THE CITY COUNCIL ADOPT <br />THE DRAFT BERNAL COMMUNITY PARK MASTER PLAN <br />WHEREAS, the City has prepared a Draft Master Plan document for the Bernal Community Park <br />proposed on an approximately 50-acre site located south of Bernal Avenue at <br />Pleasanton Avenue; and <br />WHEREAS, the proposed Master Plan calls for a vaziety of sports fields, open space, picnic <br />areas, trails, and other recreational amenities, as set forth more particularly in the <br />attached Exhibit A; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission held a noticed public hearing on Apri126, 2006, <br />regazding the proposed Master Plan and considered all public testimony, relevant <br />exhibits and recommendations of City staff; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission found that the proposed Master Plan is consistent with <br />the goals and policies of the Pleasanton General Plan, the Bernal Property Phase I <br />Specific Plan, and the Draft Bernal Property Phase II Specific Plan. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: <br />Section 1. Recommends that the City Council adopt the Bernal Community Park Master <br />Plan. <br />Section 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and <br />adoption. <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED BY THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />PLEASANTON ON THE 26TH DAY OF APRIL 2006 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br />AYES: Commissioners Arkin, Fox, Maas, Peazce, and Roberts <br />NOES: None. <br />ABSTAIN: None. <br />RECUSED: None. <br />ABSENT: Commissioner Blank. <br />
