CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 85-366 REVIEW OF BIDS AND AWARD OF CONTRACT TO STEINY & COMPANY, INC., FOR PLEASANTON SPORTS AND RECREATION PARK, PHASE IV-B, PROJECT NO. 85-18 AND AUTHORIZING APPROPRIATION OF AN ADDITIONAL $73,779.14 FOR THE PROJECT WHEREAS, the City prepared plans and specifications for Pleasanton Sports and Recreation Park, Phase IV-B, Project No. 85-18; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Government Code Section 37900, et seq., the City Engineering Services Division advertised for bids regarding this project; and WHEREAS, bids were reviewed by the City Council on August 6, 1985; and WHEREAS, the bid of Steiny & Company, Inc., in the amount of $324,027.75 (Base bid plus Alt. #1) was determined to be the lowest responsible bid; and WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works and Utilities recommended that the bid of Steiny & Company, Inc. be accepted; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: The bid of Steiny & Company, Inc., in the amount of $324,027.75 (Base bid plus Alt. #1, parking lot lighting), for Pleasanton Sports and Recreation Park, Phase IV-B, Project No. 85-18, is hereby accepted by the City Council as the lowest responsible bid. Section 2: The Mayor is authorized to execute a contract with for the improvements specified above. Section 3: Approves the appropriation of an additional $73,779.14 to the project's budget from the City's Park Capital Improvement Program. Section 4: Should any of these future projects have a budget shortfall due to this additional appropriation and adjustments, consideration will be given at that time with regard to the use of the City General Funds for the balancing of that future project's budget. Section 5: This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption.
