CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 85-366 <br /> <br /> REVIEW OF BIDS AND AWARD OF CONTRACT TO STEINY & <br /> COMPANY, INC., FOR PLEASANTON SPORTS AND RECREATION <br /> PARK, PHASE IV-B, PROJECT NO. 85-18 AND AUTHORIZING <br /> APPROPRIATION OF AN ADDITIONAL $73,779.14 FOR THE <br /> PROJECT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City prepared plans and specifications for <br /> Pleasanton Sports and Recreation Park, Phase IV-B, <br /> Project No. 85-18; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Government Code Section 37900, et seq., the <br /> City Engineering Services Division advertised for bids <br /> regarding this project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, bids were reviewed by the City Council on August 6, <br /> 1985; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the bid of Steiny & Company, Inc., in the amount of <br /> $324,027.75 (Base bid plus Alt. #1) was determined to be <br /> the lowest responsible bid; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works and Utilities recommended <br /> that the bid of Steiny & Company, Inc. be accepted; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The bid of Steiny & Company, Inc., in the amount of <br /> $324,027.75 (Base bid plus Alt. #1, parking lot <br /> lighting), for Pleasanton Sports and Recreation Park, <br /> Phase IV-B, Project No. 85-18, is hereby accepted by the <br /> City Council as the lowest responsible bid. <br /> <br />Section 2: The Mayor is authorized to execute a contract with <br /> for the improvements specified above. <br /> <br />Section 3: Approves the appropriation of an additional <br /> $73,779.14 to the project's budget from the City's Park <br /> Capital Improvement Program. <br /> <br />Section 4: Should any of these future projects have a budget <br /> shortfall due to this additional appropriation and <br /> adjustments, consideration will be given at that time <br /> with regard to the use of the City General Funds for the <br /> balancing of that future project's budget. <br /> <br />Section 5: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
