CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 85-334 <br /> <br /> REVIEW OF BIDS AND AWARD OF CONTRACT TO VALLEY SLURRY <br /> SEAL COMPANY, FOR SLURRY SEALING ON VARIOUS CITY <br /> STREETS, PROJECT NO. 85-21 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City prepared plans and specifications for slurry <br /> sealing on various City streets, Project No. 85-21; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Government Code Section 37900, et seq., the <br /> City Engineering Services Division advertised for bids <br /> regarding this project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, bids were reviewed by the City Council on July 16, 1985; <br /> and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the bid of Valley Slurry Seal Company, in the amount of <br /> $34,640.00 was determined to be the lowest responsible <br /> bid; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works and Utilities recommended <br /> that the bid of Valley Slurry Seal Company be accepted; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The bid of Valley Slurry Seal Company, in the amount <br /> of $34,640.00, for slurry sealing on various City <br /> streets, Project No. 85-21, is hereby accepted by the <br /> City Council as the lowest responsible bid. <br /> <br />Section 2: The Mayor is authorized to execute a contract with <br /> for the improvements specified above. <br /> <br />Section 3: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
