CITY OF PLEASANTON'S SPECIFICATONS <br /> FOR <br /> PUBLISHING OF LEGAL NOTICES <br /> <br />1. BASIS OF AWARD <br /> <br /> Any contract awarded as a result of this bid will be based on <br /> a careful and complete evaluation of all bid proposals using <br /> the specifications outlined in the bid. <br /> <br /> The city of Pleasanton reserves the sole right to decide <br /> whether a bid does or does not comply substantially with the <br /> specifications; to accept, reject or negotiate modifications <br /> in any terms of vendor's proposals or any part thereof and <br /> also to waive any irregularity, informality, or noncompliance <br /> with or any nonresponse to the bid or any part thereof. The <br /> city of Pleasanton reserves the right to accept and award a <br /> contract to other than the lowest bidder. <br /> <br />2. SUBMISSION OF BIDS <br /> <br /> All bids must be submitted on approved city of Pleasanton bid <br /> forms. Bid forms are available at the Pleasanton City <br /> Manager's Office, 200 Old Bernal Avenue, Pleasanton, <br /> California. <br /> <br />3. DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION OF BIDS <br /> <br /> Sealed bids must be received by the Pleasanton city manager's <br /> office no later than 2:00 p.m., July 31, 1985. <br /> <br />4. STATUS OF BIDDER'S NEWSPAPER <br /> <br /> Each bid shall indicate that it is submitted on behalf of a <br /> newspaper which is a newspaper of general circulation for the <br /> city of Pleasanton at the time of submission of the bid. <br /> <br />5. RATES <br /> <br /> The rates proposed to be charged the city shall be designated <br /> for each column inch for a first publication, each column <br /> inch for a second publication, and each column inch for all <br /> additional publications. Each bid shall indicate that the <br /> rates proposed to be charged the city do not exceed the <br /> customary rates charged by the bidder's newspaper for the <br /> publication of legal notices of a private character. <br /> <br /> <br />
