RESOLUTION N0.08-240 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON, <br />APPROVING A GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT FOR THE APPLICATION OF <br />WINDSTAR COMMUNITIES, INC., AS FILED UNDER CASE PGPA-13 <br />WHEREAS, at its meeting of September 16, 2008, the City Council received an application <br />from Windstar Communities, Inc. for General Plan Amendment to change the General Plan Land <br />Use Designation of the BART-owned property located at 6110 Stoneridge Mall Road, adjacent to <br />the future West DubliNPleasanton BART station, to add "High Density Residential" to the existing <br />"Retail/Highway/Service Commercial; Business and Professional Offices" designation; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission held a public hearing on the proposed change <br />and made recommendations to the City Council; and <br />WHEREAS, based on the Initial Environmental Study, a Negative Declaration was <br />adopted by the City Council on September 16, 2008; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing on September 16, 2008 with respect <br />to the General Plan Amendment. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE, AND ORDER THE FOLLOWING: <br />SECTION 1. The City Council approves the application of. Windstar Communities, Inc. for <br />General Plan Amendment to change the General Plan Land Use Designation of the BART-owned <br />property located at 6110 Stoneridge Mall Road, adjacent to the future West Dublin/Pleasanton <br />BART station, to add "High Density Residential" to the existing "Retail/Highway/Service <br />Commercial; Business and Professional Offices" designation, as shown on the attached Exhibit A, <br />PGPA-13, General Plan Amendment Map, dated September 16, 2008, and incorporated herein by <br />this reference. <br />SECTION 2. The City determines that this is one of the four times in 2008 that the Land <br />Use Element of the General Plan may be amended as provided in Government Code <br />Section 65631. <br />SECTION 3. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and <br />adoption. <br />
