developer along with free land; 2) things that will not be available if it is inclusionary such as the <br />project would be financed with state bond money with a very low interest rate loan; and 3) the <br />project itself would have the right to sell off tax credits to get the project finance-able. <br />Commissioner Narum said she thought the 178 units in Iron Horse development were spread <br />across senior apartments and not concentrated in one building. Mr. Fialho said they were all <br />dispersed but contained within the same complex itself. <br />Commissioner Olson said he was open-minded and was aware of the great job Bridge Housing <br />has done in other communities. <br />Councilmember McGovern voiced concerns about all-affordable housing for families. She <br />believed children living in those developments have some types of labels put on them and she <br />would much rather seen inclusionary if at all possible. <br />Vice Mayor Thorne said he was open-minded based upon Mr. Sweeney's comments and thinks <br />the item should be included as an important part of discussions that occur after this meeting. <br />Councilmember Cook-Kallio reiterated that when she visited Camellia Place, an affordable <br />housing site, she had no understanding of what inclusionary versus stand-alone was and it was <br />not anything she thought it would be.
