x. Delegate within the limitations of Government <br /> <br /> Code Section 6508 all or a portion of its <br /> functions to an administrative entity for the <br /> purpose of prcgram development, policy <br /> formulation, or program implementation; <br /> <br /> xi. Adopt a conflict of interest code; <br /> <br /> xii. Do all other reasonable and necessary acts to <br /> <br /> fulfill the purposes of this agreement. <br /> <br />b. Special Transportation Services. <br /> <br /> ~ 1. Any member agency may provide additional funding <br /> <br /> to Authority for special transportation <br /> <br /> services equal to their costs. In that event, <br /> Authority will provide enhanced service levels <br /> to that member jurisdiction in proportion to the <br /> <br /> additional funding provided. <br /> <br /> ii. Authority may exercise all or a portion of the <br /> powers set forth in paragraph 8a to provide <br /> transportatio~"f6ther thank for the general public <br /> (e.g. elderly, handicapped and other special <br /> transportation needs as currently,_provided for <br /> <br /> and shall maintain current levels of service. <br /> <br /> iii. However, notwithstandin~ anl,~ other provision of <br /> <br /> this agreement, each member jurisdiction may at <br /> <br /> its own option, establish and maintain its own <br /> program for elderly, handicapped and other <br /> special transportation needs. In such event, <br /> <br /> A~thority shall not compete for 'funding which <br /> would otherwise be allocated to that member <br /> j uri sd ict ion. <br /> <br /> -9- <br /> <br /> <br />
