CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 85-251 <br /> <br /> REVIEW OF BIDS AND AWARD OF CONTRACT TO DLT LANDSCAPING, <br /> FOR BERNAL AVENUE MEDIAN LANDSCAPING, PROJECT NO. 85-11, <br /> AND APPROPRIATING AN ADDITIONAL $8,225.00 FOR THE <br /> PROJECT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City prepared plans and specifications for the <br /> Bernal Avenue landscaping between First Street and <br /> Windmill Way, Project No. 85-11; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Government Code Section 37900, et seq., the <br /> City Engineering Services Division advertised for bids <br /> regarding this project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, bids were reviewed by the City Council on May 21, 1985; <br /> and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the bid of DLT Landscaping, in the amount of $42,500.00 <br /> was determined to be the lowest responsible bid; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works and Utilities recommended <br /> that the bid of DLT Landscaping be accepted; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The bid of DLT Landscaping, in the amount of <br /> $42,500.00, for the Bernal Avenue median landscaping <br /> from First Street to Windmill Way, Project No. 85-11, is <br /> hereby accepted by the City Council as the lowest <br /> responsible bid. <br /> <br />Section 2: The Mayor is authorized to execute a contract with <br /> DLT Landscaping for the improvements specified above. <br /> <br />Section 3: Approves an additional appropriation of $8,225.00 to <br /> cover the costs of the project and allow for a 5% <br /> contingency. <br /> <br />Section 4: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
