CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 85-240 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION SUPPORTING CHAMBER OF COMMERCE RECOMMENDATION <br /> OF JERRY LEMM TO THE PRIVATE INDUSTRIES COUNCIL OF <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY (PIC) <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Private Industries Council (PIC) is a 23-member <br /> board consisting of local businessmen and private <br /> industry representatives who work with ACAP/ACTEB in <br /> making policy decisions with regard to planning and <br /> funding of job training programs; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Pleasanton Chamber of Commerce has recommended Jerry <br /> Lemm as a member of this Board to represent the <br /> interests of the Pleasanton area; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council agrees that Jerry Lemm would be an <br /> excellent choice for the Private Industries Council <br /> Board; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The City Council of Pleasanton supports the <br /> recommendation of the Pleasanton Chamber of Commerce for <br /> the appointment of Jerry Lemm to the PIC. <br /> <br />Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED MAY 7, 1985 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Brandes, Butler, Mohr, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None ENNE~~~ <br />ABSENT: Councilmember Wood <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> , MAYOR <br /> <br />By Doris George, Deputy City Clerk <br /> <br />APPROVED AS TO FORM: <br /> <br />p~er'D.
