MINUTES <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />May 20, 2008 <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />Mayor Hosterman called the regular meeting to order at 7:02 p.m. and asked members of the <br />Veterans of Foreign Wars to lead in the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />Report of Closed Session <br />Conference with legal counsel existing litigation, pursuant to Government Code §54956.9(a): <br />Urban Habitat, et al. v. City of Pleasanton, Court of Appeal, State of California, First <br />District, Case No. A 118327 <br />City Attorney Roush reported the Council held a Closed Session at 6:30 p.m. prior to the Council <br />meeting, said there was no direction given to the Council, and after the Appellate Court reaches <br />its decision, staff will bring the matter back for further Council consideration at which time <br />direction will be given to staff. <br />Introductory Comments: Councilmember Sullivan announced the following: The City supports <br />Zone 7's request for a voluntary 10% reduction in water and encourages all customers to <br />maintain conservation efforts throughout the summer season and beyond. He provided easy <br />water conservation measures; The Memorial Day Ceremony at Pleasanton Pioneer Cemetery is <br />scheduled for Monday, May 26t" at 11:00 a.m.; the City of Pleasanton will host a Public <br />Workshop on the Pedestrian & Bicycle Master Plan at the Senior Center on May 22n° <br />Roll Call <br />Present: Councilmembers Cook-Kallio, McGovern, Sullivan, Thorne, Mayor Hosterman <br />Absent: None <br />AGENDA AMENDMENTS -None <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br />Mayor Hosterman said she was pleased the City is adopting a Resolution reaffirming adoption <br />of Unit C Company, 526t" BSB of the 101St Airborne, through the America Supporting Americans <br />program. <br />Administrative Services <br />Approved special meeting minutes of April 29, 2008 <br />Citv Manager <br />2. Approved and authorized the City Manager to execute an agreement with VMI, Inc., in the <br />amount of $62,934.79 for the purchase and installation of video equipment for the City <br />Council Chamber and approved a $15,000 project contingency to address dais <br />modifications <br />
