CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 85-174 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION OF INTENT RE ADDITIONAL 1.28 MGD OF <br /> WASTEWATER DISCHARGE <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Livermore-Amador Valley Wastewater Management Agency <br /> (LAVWMA) has requested that the East Bay Discharge <br /> Authority (EBDA) provide certain wastewater export <br /> services which would allow LAVWMA to export an <br /> additional 1.28 million gallons per day (MGD) of its <br /> wastewater; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, EBDA is willing to accommodate LAVWMA by furnishing said <br /> capacity on an interruptible flow basis; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, EBDA is concerned about the over all needs of the entire <br /> Livermore Amador Valley and the over all commitment of <br /> the valley representatives to diligently pursue the <br /> completion of a study, develop a funding plan for such a <br /> project and finally construct the project to care for <br /> the needs of the entire Valley until the year 2010; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this agency is one of the public agencies concerned with <br /> the planning of the present and future needs of the <br /> entire valley; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this agency to make a public <br /> statement not only to the EBDA, but to the public at <br /> large that its intent is in conformance with EBDA <br /> expressed concerned about a permanent plan for <br /> wastewater discharge; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: That this agency as one of the public agencies <br /> concerned with the planning of the present and future <br /> needs of the Livermore Amador Valley does hereby express <br /> its intent that it will take all reasonable steps in <br /> cooperation with the public agencies to finalize the <br /> present study, adopt a plan that reasonably addresses <br /> the wastewater needs of the entire Valley, to take the <br /> necessary steps to arrange appropriate funding and <br /> finally to complete the construction of such a project. <br /> <br />Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED APRIL 2, 1985 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br /> <br />
