The City shall extend the time for completion of improvements <br /> hereunder, upon good cause being shown by the Developer. Any <br /> such extension may be granted without notice to the Developer's <br /> surety, and extension so granted shall not relieve the surety's <br /> liability on the bond to secure the faithful performance of this <br /> agreement. <br /> <br /> 2. Work. Developer will do or cause to be done the <br /> following described work in order to put into operation an <br /> on-line traffic intersection capacity monitoring system as <br /> described as "immediate actions" in the letter dated February 1, <br /> 1985, from Chris D. Kinzel of TJKM to Robert L. Warnick, Director <br /> of Public Works of the City (attached hereto as Exhibit "A"): <br /> <br /> a. Design, purchase, and install hardware at nine <br /> intersections listed in the above-referenced <br /> letter. <br /> <br /> b. Purchase and install a desktop micro-computer, as <br /> selected by the Director of Public Works of the <br /> City, at the City Hall and develop and deliver a <br /> software package as described in the <br /> above-referenced letter. The software package <br /> shall be developed by TJKM. <br /> <br /> c. Expand the system master at the City Hall to a <br /> holding capacity of 64 signals, plus accessories <br /> necessary to ready the system master for expansion <br /> to a 128-signal system. <br /> <br /> d. Make necessary support item modifications, <br /> including but not limited to updating the system <br /> map and re-wiring and re-splicing interconnect <br /> cables, to enable the system to expand to 64 <br /> signals. <br /> <br /> 3. Inspection. City shall inspect all of said work through <br /> an inspector employed by City at the cost and expense of <br /> Developer, and Developer shall pay City the cost of such <br /> inspection as fixed by Ordinance. <br /> <br /> The City Engineer has tentatively fixed the inspection costs <br />due upon execution of this agreement as follows: <br /> <br /> $13,080.00 <br /> <br /> 4. Plans. All of said work shall be done and materials <br />furnished 'in strict accordance with the approved plans for said <br />improvements, said plans to be approved by the Director of Public <br />Works of the City prior to the beginning of construction. It is <br />further understood that the work and materials shall be under the <br />supervision of the City Engineer, and performed and installed to <br />his satisfaction. <br /> <br /> 5. Related Contracts and Proceedings. Any prior contracts <br />between City and Developer and any prior approvals by Boards, <br /> <br /> - 2 - <br /> <br /> <br />
