CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 85-133 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING TRAFFIC SIGNAL CONTROL AND <br /> MONITORING SYSTEM <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at its meeting of March 12, 1985, the Council received <br /> the report of the Director of Public Works and Utilities <br /> (SR 85:116) regarding the installation of an on-line <br /> "V/C" monitoring system for key intersections throughout <br /> the City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, TJKM has developed a proposal for implementing the <br /> necessary system expansion and on-line "V/C" monitoring <br /> program; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the total estimated immediate cost for implementing the <br /> proposed controller expansion and monitoring program is <br /> $461,000 to be shared by the NPID, Dublin and <br /> Pleasanton, and Prudential and Callahan-Pentz have <br /> offered to advance funds for this project; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Approves the concepts for the traffic signal <br /> controller expansion and on-line "V/C" monitoring <br /> program, as described in the TJKM letter dated <br /> February 1, 1985. <br /> <br />Section 2: Directs the engineer for NPID to include funding of <br /> $327,000 for this work in the District as reimbursement <br /> and/or credit for Prudential and Callahan-Pentz <br /> Properties. <br /> <br />Section 3: Authorizes Prudential and Callahan-Pentz to proceed <br /> with implementation, as recommended under "SUMMARY" on <br /> Page 5 of the TJKM letter of February 1, 1985. <br /> <br />Section 4: Directs staff to include $39,500 in the City's <br /> Capital Improvement Program to cover anticipated City <br /> costs for this work. <br /> <br />Section 5: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
