A.ptil ~, zoos
Cherie Keane
417 Sycamore Rd
Pleasanton, CA 94566
___ItE; Jenny Rocha's New~mrage-Tank.
City Council Members;
hdY nazrie ie Cherie Keane and I Iive 3 houses west of Jenny Roche. To enter my
driveway I must make a right hand teen in front of Jenny's house.ln fact, for a short
distance we share a common private drive.
Prior to Jantty purchasing her home, the property was in disrepair. The piece of land
directly adjacern to the private drive was always filled with weeds and was quite
11'equentiy used as fifty maintrnance parking and whoever parking. In feet, the entire
property showed it's vast age and lack of caze.
Since Jenny has been my neighbor the transformation between then and now is
immeasurable. Not only has she completely rebuilt the home but she has apazed no
expense landscaping her property. She has taken great care in fa9tefulIy beautifying not
only her property but that of the neighborhood as well. As a close neighbor 1 am very
grateRil for her hard work and dedication to detail. ,
Qne of fire improvements to the property was replacing the old wooden tank with a new
one. In doing so the tank moved, but not enough to make the controversy it has become.
As I am sure the council knows quite well the Happy Valley, as beautiful as it is; comes
with many issues, Conventional homes try to live next to farms and ranches; animals.
Tension grows as two different lifestyles try to live together. In every area, but I believe
in the l Iappy Valley especially, people need to be more tolerant. If one is going to move
next door to a property that has animals, na city water etc. then things like water tanks
will exist on the property.
As far as I am concerned, the new water tank is an improvement to the property and does
not adversely affect Ute neighbors in its new spot. Concerning l7iamond Covet; the wafer
tank became morn vlsiblc with the repl~ement of the old wooden fence with a wire
fence, not with the movement of the water tank. If the water tank was that much of a
concern Aiamond Court should have replaced the fence with a like wooden one.
Thank you,
~ ~.
Cherie Keane
