Girls'
Softball Fields #6 and #7 were originally constructed in 1976, and the proposed
renovation includes removal and replacement of backstops, dugouts, concrete, and
bleacher areas. This project would be performed in conjunction with CIP
#037027, which provides for replacement of the neazby storage facility.
$100,000 Street Median Plant Replacements
This project is a continuation of CIP #057019, which provides funds for the
replacement of small blocks of dead or dying plant material in the City's street
median azeas. Areas considered for replanting are Morganfield Road, and azeas
of Foothill Road.
$44,000 Replacement of Fencing at Various Parks
This project would replace the ornamental iron fence behind Century House at
Bicentennial Park. It also provides funds to extend the height of the fencing at the
Val Vista Park In-line Hockey Facility, and Softball Field #1 at Sports and
Recreation Community Pazk. Both these projects were completed this past
winter.
$40,000 Playground Surfacing Upkeep
This project is a continuation of CIP #047031, which provides funds for
additional playground wood chip surfacing and/or repairs to rubber surfacing, as
needed, for the 52 playgrounds located throughout the pazk system. To comply
with National Product Safety Commission (NPSC) standards, adequate mulch
depth is required at all times to provide cushioning in the event of falls.
