Box 520 <br />Pleasanton, CA 94566 <br />Dear Nelson: <br />Thank you for your letter of June 27, 2008 inquiring about my absences from the <br />regulaz meetings of the Youth Commission during the period of January 1 through June <br />30, 2008. Please find below a short statement of reasons for the absences. <br />During the first half of 2008 it was necessary for me travel several times to <br />Vancouver Canada to attend to the health needs of my immediate family members. Some <br />of these trips overlapped with regulaz meetings of the Youth Commission. <br />Despite my absences, I have continued to enjoy my service as the Adult Alternate <br />Member of the Youth Commission. With the teamwork assistance of Adult Permanent <br />Member Libby Kolar, I have been able to maintain strong ties with our Youth <br />Commission Members, encouraging their service tq the community. <br />Thank you and the City Council for your kipd consideration. <br />truly yours, <br />Betty W '-Hing Tse <br />
