5 <br />THE CITY OF <br />CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br />PL£~S~4NTONo <br />August 19, 2008 <br />City Manager <br />TITLE: ANALYSIS OF COMMISSIONER ABSENCES FOR THE PERIOD <br />OF JANUARY 1 THROUGH JUNE 30, 2008 <br />SUMMARY <br />The Municipal Code establishes attendance requirements for City commissioners at <br />regularly held commission meetings. Under the ordinance, the City Manager is required <br />to request that all commissioners whose absences exceed those as set forth in the <br />Municipal Code provide a written response detailing the reasons for their absences. <br />This report is being submitted in accordance with the required procedures. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff recommends that the City Council accept the information provided. <br />FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br />There is no fiscal impact. <br />
