CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 85-109 <br /> <br /> REVIEW OF BIDS AND AWARD OF CONTRACT TO ATLAS TREE <br /> SERVICE, INC., FOR STREET TREE PRUNING ON VARIOUS CITY <br /> STREETS, PROJECT NO. 85-10 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City prepared plans and specifications for street <br /> tree pruning on various City streets, Project No. 85-10; <br /> and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Government Code Section 37900, et seq., the <br /> City Engineering Services Division advertised for bids <br /> regarding this project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, bids were reviewed by the City Council on March 12, <br /> 1985; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the bid of Atlas Tree Service, Inc., in the amount of <br /> $31,227.82 was determined to be the lowest responsible <br /> bid; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works and Utilities recommended <br /> that the bid of Atlas Tree Service, Inc. be accepted; <br /> and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the available funds to complete this project are <br /> $28,489.00 and it is therefore necessary to appropriate <br /> an additional $3,000.00 so that all of the trees in <br /> Alternate #1 can be included along with the Base Bid; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The bid of Atlas Tree Service, Inc., in the amount of <br /> $31,227.82, for street tree pruning on various City <br /> streets, Project No. 85-10, is hereby accepted by the <br /> City Council as the lowest responsible bid. <br /> <br />Section 2: The Mayor is authorized to execute a contract with <br /> for the improvements specified above. <br /> <br />Section 3: Authorizes the appropriate of an additional $3,000.00 <br /> for the above project. <br /> <br />Section 4: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
