CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 85-84 <br /> <br /> REVIEW OF BIDS AND AWARD OF CONTRACT TO ARNIE FAVELA <br /> CONSTRUCTION FOR AUGUSTINE STREET AND BERNAL AVENUE <br /> WATER MAIN AND STORM DRAIN IMPROVEMENTS, PROJECT NO. <br /> 84-22 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City prepared plans and specifications for <br /> construction of the Augustine Street and Bernal Avenue <br /> water main and storm drain improvements, Project No. <br /> 84-22; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Government Code Section 37900, et seq., the <br /> City Engineering Services Division advertised for bids <br /> regarding this project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, bids were reviewed by the City Council on February 26, <br /> 1985; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the bid of Arnie Favela Construction, in the amount of <br /> $127,488.25, was determined to be the lowest responsible <br /> bid; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works and Utilities recommended <br /> that the bid of Arnie Favela Construction be accepted; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The bid of Arnie Favela Construction, in the amount <br /> of $127,488.25, for Augustine Street and Bernal Avenue <br /> water main and storm drain improvements, Project No. <br /> 84-22, is hereby accepted by the City Council as the <br /> lowest responsible bid. <br /> <br />Section 2: The Mayor is authorized to execute a contract with <br /> Arnie Favela Construction for the improvements specified <br /> above. <br /> <br />Section 3: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
