CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 85-76 ESTABLISHING UNDERGROUND UTILITY DISTRICT NO. 85-1 WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 85-10, a public hearing was called for February 12, 1985 at the hour of 8:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers, Pleasanton, California, to ascertain whether the public necessity, health,safety, or welfare requires the removal of poles, overhead wires and associated overhead structures, and the underground installation of wires and facilities for supplying electric communication, or similar or associated service, within that certain area of the City described as Bernal Avenue and First Street-Sunol Boulevard and has been requested to extend the UUD-85-1 to include First Street from Bernal Avenue to Angela Street; and WHEREAS, notice of such hearing has been given to all affected property owners as shown on the last equalized assessment roll and utilities concerned in the manner and for the time required by law; and WHEREAS, such hearing has been duly and regularly held, and all persons interested have been given an opportunity to be heard; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: City Council hereby finds and determines that the public necessity, health, safety, and welfare required the removal of poles, overhead wires and associated structures, and the underground installation of wires and facilities for supplying electric, communication, or similar or associated service on both sides of Bernal Avenue and First Street from Sunol Boulevard to East Angela Street, such described area is hereby established as Underground Utility District No. 85-1. Attached hereto, marked "Exhibit A," and hereby incorporated as part of this resolution, is a map delineating the boundaries of said District. Section 2: That the City Council hereby makes the following further findings with regard to Underground Utility District No. 85-1: 1. The undergrounding to be accomplished pursuant to this resolution will avoid or eliminate an unusually heavy concentration of overhead distribution facilities.
