Box 520 <br /> Pleasanton, California 9~566-0802 <br /> <br /> Re: Proposal: Hopyard/Valley Tennis Facility Traffic Study <br /> <br /> Dear Bob: <br /> <br /> · We are pleased to submit this letter proposal to perform professional <br /> engineering services relating to a study of potential traffic impacts of the subject <br /> tennis facility. This proposal was prepared in response to your request and is based <br /> upon our meeting of Friday 3anuary 25, 1985. It presents our understanding of the <br /> purpose of the study,. and our proposed scope of services, and schedule and fee <br /> requirements to perform the work. <br /> <br /> Study Purpose and Scope <br /> <br /> The primary objective of the study is to examine the traffic impacts of the <br /> proposed tennis/park facility on local streets and intersections, and compare them <br /> with similar impacts which would be created if the parcel of land were developed <br /> into a medium density residential, high density residential, a commercial use <br /> instead of the proposed tennis/park facility. <br /> <br /> A secondary objective of the study is to evaluate the proposed access, <br /> circulation, and parking layout with respect to traffic and parking demands. <br /> <br /> The scope of the study ,will include analysis of existing traffic conditions, <br /> estimation of traffic generation associated with four land use options, estimation <br /> of intersection levels of service at two intersections for the four options, and <br /> estimation of access and parking requirements for the proposed project as depicted <br /> on the latest site concept plan. <br /> <br /> The study would be conducted in accordance with the City's Standard <br /> Requirements for Traffic Engineering Studies, as appropriate. <br /> <br /> Scope of Services <br /> <br /> Five tasks are proposed to complete the study.
