CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 85-68 <br /> <br /> APPROVAL OF WILBUR SMITH AND ASSOCIATES, INC. AS TRAFFIC <br /> CONSULTANT FOR VALLEY-HOPYARD PARK (T) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, at its meeting of January 16, 1985, the Park and <br /> Recreation Commission held a public hearing for the <br /> proposed park to be located on the northwest corner of <br /> Hopyard Road and Valley Avenue; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, during the public hearing it became evident that the <br /> main concern of the citizens who attended the hearing <br /> was traffic generated by the park and a traffic <br /> consultant's review and recommendations would be <br /> beneficial in completing the Master Planning for this <br /> park; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at its meeting of February 12, 1985, the Director of <br /> Public Works and Utilities presented his report (SR <br /> 85:76) recommending the services of Wilbur Smith and <br /> Associates, Inc. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Approves the proposal of Wilbur Smith and <br /> Associates, Inc., of San Francisco, for review of the <br /> traffic impacts of the proposed park on the northwest <br /> corner of Valley Avenue and Hopyard Road. <br /> <br />Section 2: Authorizes execution of the agreement by the <br /> appropriate city officials. <br /> <br />Section 3: Amends the master plan budget for the subject park by <br /> adding $25,250 to cover the additional cost of the <br /> traffic analysis for this project. <br /> <br />Section 4: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED FEBRUARY 12, 1985 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br /> <br />
